Franklin Gothic

I created a type specimen showcasing Franklin Gothic, designed as a double-sided card. The project incorporated the history of the font, highlighting its formation in 1902 by Morris Fuller Benton. Using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, the design emulated magazine and movie posters, where Franklin Gothic is frequently used. The unique "G" was centered as the hero of the design, emphasizing its distinctive form. The specimen aimed to not only display the font but also tell the story of its enduring influence on typography and design.
